Digital literacies

Digital literacy refers to a person's ability to use, understand and participate effectively in a digital environment. This includes an understanding of digital technology, information and online communication skills. 

1.Understanding of Digital Technologies: Digital literacy involves an understanding of digital devices such as computers, smartphones, tablets and other devices. This includes knowledge of device operations, security settings, and understanding of various digital applications and platforms. 

2.Understanding of Information: Digital literacy involves the ability to evaluate, verify, and use information found online. This includes skills in searching for information, distinguishing between valid and invalid information, as well as the critical ability to analyze found content. 

3.Digital Security: Digital literacy also includes an understanding of digital security. This involves knowledge of online security practices such as the use of strong passwords, recognition and prevention of cyberthreats, and protection of privacy and personal data. 

4.Digital Ethics: Digital literacy includes an understanding of digital ethics and good behavior when using technology and interacting online. This includes understanding copyright, privacy policies, protecting yourself from online fraud, and respecting the rights and privacy of others in the digital world. 

5.Communication Skills: Digital literacy involves the ability to communicate effectively through digital media. This includes the skills of writing emails, participating in online discussions, sharing information in an appropriate manner, and practicing good communication ethics in a digital environment.
